Take it to the ground. During April, we’re looking for stories on how you left it all behind. How you lit a match and let your life/your relationship/your family/your whatever, go up in flames. What happened after? What revolutions did you start?

DUE March 1st.
There aren’t enough lit journals dedicated to the stories of mothers. The real, raw, messy stories. So during the month of May we want to hear from the front lines of motherhood. How is it looking out there? What parenting highs have you conquered? What lows have you waded through? We aren’t looking for the sugar-coated stories of parenting, we’re looking for the mess. For the breaking apart and coming back together. Or, maybe, simply the breaking. Whatever your motherhood story, we want to hear it.

It’s a feeling that can’t easily be explained. It’s a longing for things left behind and things intangible. It is a want, an ache for what we can never have. What are your stories of the left behind?

We’ve all been there, staring in the mirror asking: who is that? Maybe we’ve acted out in a way never seen before. Maybe it is something as simple as a bad haircut. Maybe it is an entirely new coming into oneself. In July we’re collecting stories of the times we lost ourselves and subsequently found ourselves again.

The only thing to do is to move forward. To move onward. In September we’re collecting stories about the moments when there was no going back. Where there was no option to quit or fail, it was simply onward.

First time, last time, maybe a long time since. What are your sex stories? Don’t leave anything out. Don’t be afraid of the juicy details. Let’s talk sex, baby.

Hot and cold. Wrong and right. In and out. One and then the other. We can’t always control our moods or the moods of others. Or, for that matter, the moods of nature. Tell us your story about mood swings.

We’ve done this one before. But from time to time, we like to open this space for those who want a platform to talk about their abortion, the abortion experience, or anything related to it. Maybe you will find it healing. Or maybe you will find yourself in someone else’s story and see that you are not alone.
